Time Capture

Determining the method of collecting employee time data is the first step in establishing a time & attendance process. Factors to consider include employee location, availability of an internet connection, ease of use, and employee verification. Based on your requirements, APS can create a time capture configuration that incorporates web based data collection using your existing computers or hardware based data collection using biometric employee verification.

web punch Web Punch - Enables employees to quickly clock in using a dedicated PC, commonly referred to as a Kiosk, that is connected to the internet. The web punch is designed for workplaces in which all employees are not provided with a networked PC or may not know how to use one. Employees can input their clock ID and password using a touch screen monitor, keyboard, or mouse.

desktop login Desktop Login - This option is best suited for workplaces in which all or most employees have their own PC. Accessibility to the desktop login or web punch can be restricted using our advanced IP address or MAC address filtering which eliminates the ability for an employee to clock in from home our outside of your network. Since the web punch and desktop login are both features of eselfserve.com, our employee self-service portal, employees can also review their current time card, view or print check stubs and direct deposit vouchers, and access other work related information.

hand punch Biometric Verification - The HandPunchtrademarked time clock is a biometric reader that validates the employee when clocking in and completely eliminates time fraud, better known as "buddy punching". The terminal uses the shape of the employee's hand to verify their identity. No fingerprints or palm prints are utilized. The HandPunchtrademarked was developed by Schlage Recognition Systems as the first biometric time collection device and is currently the most widely used device available. Connectivity to the terminal is accomplished through Ethernet, direct connect, or modem communication.

HandPunchtrademarked is a registered trademark of Sclage.
